Deputy Secretary General of the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat, Dr Filimon Manoni

SUVA, Fiji: The Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat is pleased to announce Dr Filimon Manoni, from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, as the Deputy Secretary General. Dr Manoni’s appointment came into effect from 21 May 2020, but he is not new to the Secretariat family.
Dr Manoni has held the position of International Legal Adviser since the latter part of 2018 - and has been responsible for providing legal policy advice and analysis on regional issues covered by the Secretariat.
Prior to joining the Secretariat, Dr Manoni was the Attorney General for the Republic of the Marshall Islands providing both legal and policy analysis to the Government on regional and international matters including regional and international treaties and agreements.
Dr Manoni also served as a Legal Adviser at the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA).
