Framework for Pacific Regionalism: closing date for submitting regional initiatives extended

The deadline for submitting regional initiatives under the new Framework for Pacific Regionalism has been extended by one week following numerous requests for extensions of time to make submissions. Regional initiatives will be assessed and selected by a specialist sub-committee on regionalism - a group of eight individuals from right across the Pacific. 

This committee will select a limited number of regional initiatives to be put to Leaders for their discussion and consideration at this year’s Pacific Islands Forum in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. The revised close date for submitting regional initiatives is 5.00pm Fiji Time, Friday 19 June, 2015.
