Tuesday 6 September 2022--The Foreign Minister of Indonesia, Hon Retno L. P Marsudi was welcomed today in her first visit to the Forum Secretariat by the Acting Secretary General, Dr Filimon Manoni.
Matters of mutual concern and interest were discussed: the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent; Indonesia’s presidency of the G20 and ASEAN in 2023; climate change; the PIF Maritime Declaration and Pacific Resilience Facility; sustainable economic development; oceans and West Papua (Papua).
Also discussed were mechanisms, ways and means of strengthening the longstanding relationship between Indonesia and the Pacific Islands Forum. -- ENDS
