Taiwan/Republic of China (ROC) and the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat conducted a Handover Ceremony as part of their annual regional development assistance to the Pacific region.
Jessica Chienyi Lee, representative of the Taipei Trade Office in Fiji handed the funds to Pacific Islands Forum Deputy Secretary General, Dr. Filimon Manoni.
The USD$1million assistance provides support towards current regional humanitarian efforts towards the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the progression of other regional initiatives in the areas of climate change, fisheries, and maritime boundaries.
